USA Rugby, the governing body for rugby played in the US, has awarded the USA Rugby Men’s 7’s Club Championship to Chuckanut Bay Rugby of Bellingham, Washington.
This Championship, established in 1985, is made up of the qualifying clubs from each of the nation’s seven territorial unions. These teams, who qualify through a series of tournaments played throughout the US, will compete for the title of USA Rugby National Club 7s Champion.
The tournament kicks off Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Bellingham Rugby & Polo Grounds in Ferndale, Washington. Teams consisting of 7 players each will take the field and compete in a playoff format of 15-minute rugby matches that will provide spectators fast and furious rugby action in a buildup to the finals, which will be on Sunday, August 12. The Bellingham Polo Club, home base of the Chuckanut Bay Rugby Club, provides a picturesque setting with views of Mt. Baker and the surrounding countryside and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the top tier of domestic rugby in the United States.
Our goal for the tournament is to provide the highest level of professionalism, service, and experience for each player, fan, and sponsor. So please join us for a great weekend!
